Lots of feelings are coming up about your personal life and/or the world. Maybe you get stuck in those feelings, or perhaps you go into overdrive and do too much until your body starts wearing down. You forget to notice all the things that are actually working–how you’re growing, the unexpected gifts that show up, the people that love you. Yoga, exercise, and reading self-help books do provide some relief, but you can’t do those things all day long, and you can’t control what triggers you, especially when you spend so much time caring for other people.
The Release & Empower Program is designed especially for women who are often attending to other people’s needs. Some are helping professionals like therapists, health and wellness practitioners, and educators; others do most of their caregiving at home with children, elders, or friends. All give a lot of themselves, and most really need to be intentional about receiving. If this sounds like you, maybe you’re also wanting to:
- Release stress as often as you need to, throughout the day
- More quickly notice when you’re stuck, and then choose to shift
- Tap into clear guidance when you need it
- Feel relaxed and strong enough to both accept what is and make changes where you need to
- Appreciate your life and know you are really worth it
This is not therapy or interpersonal processing work. It’s women taking care of themselves, together. If you take care of other people professionally or in your personal life, and you’re craving space away from the noise to hear your own voice again, this program was created for you.
Each Release & Empower session is like a mini-retreat, where a group of like-minded women gather in community for the practice of four powerfully simple tools:
(1) THERAPEUTIC WRITING
A way to compost the trash talk in your mind and gain surprisingly easy access to your own intuition and guidance
(2) SOMATIC RELEASE
Simple methods for letting go of emotions that have been stored in the body
Relaxing into the experience of feeling both lighter and more grounded, clear in your wisdom, and reconnected with your heart
(4) SPEAKING AUTHENTICALLY
Using your real voice from a place of presence, power, and self-compassion

The RELEASE & EMPOWER ONLINE COMMUNITY for therapists and other helping professionals meets every Tuesday evening at 7pm CST (8pm EST, 5pm PST, 6pm MST). Registration is currently open for new participants! Once we’ve spoken and determined that the community is a good fit for you, you can sign up anytime. RELEASE & EMPOWER SMALL GROUPS in south Austin, TX are 12-week, in-person closed groups, held twice a year in south Austin on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Is this program right for me?
Release & Empower is designed for women who give a lot of physical or emotional care to others, whether that be professionally or in your personal life. It’s a great fit if you’re going through a life transition, wanting to be healthier and kinder to yourself, finding a new path after a loss, struggling with low-level but lifelong anxiety, living as an empath or highly sensitive person, or just trying to maintain equilibrium. It won’t be the right fit if you’re experiencing major mental health issues or struggling with active addictions. If you’re unsure, set up a call, and we’ll figure it out together!
What if I have to miss some sessions?
Of course, this will happen sometimes (hopefully because you’re doing something else for your own self-care!) There is no requirement to attend every session, and the practices can be done by yourself at home if you miss one. I’ll explain this all in full detail on your free phone call if you’d like to know more.

The Release & Empower Community welcomes self-reflective people who identify as women from every race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and religion. I am continually looking for ways to create safety for personal healing work within diverse community. This includes screening calls before anyone joins, privacy/silence for the writing/movement/meditation practices, and no cross-talk during the speaking component. This group is about doing inner work supported by the power of a collective. We’re not getting feedback from anyone, and we’re not sharing our reactions to others. We do that processing for ourselves, in silence, with encouragement around boundaries and self-care. Our time together is about each woman restoring herself to her own essence. If a microaggression does occur, and I don’t see it, I welcome feedback and will take action to course correct ASAP.
I’m unsure and a little nervous. Is there some way to see if I’ll like it?

I have gotten so much from this group. Julia creates a safe, warm, loving space to look inside, release, and ground back into the part of me that feels the most authentic and loved. The process she uses is simple and profound. I look forward to meeting each week with supportive women who give me space to work through whatever is going on in my life.
A beautiful, sacred, safe, free of judgment space to express myself without having to explain the backstory. This group gives me time to be open with myself without the pressure of having to make it look a certain way.
